Products and materials
Where is SoPoly furniture made?
Every piece is made in Eastman, Georgia, where we operate as a vertically integrated manufacturer. We extrude our own lumber, cut every part in-house, and hand-assemble each product for consistent quality. We also recycle all production scraps back into our process, ensuring there is no material waste and supporting a more sustainable manufacturing cycle.
What is SoPoly furniture made from?
All SoPoly furniture is crafted from recycled HDPE poly lumber, designed to withstand the elements without rotting, splintering, or cracking.
Does SoPoly furniture fade in the sun?
Our poly lumber contains UV inhibitors to resist fading. While all outdoor materials experience some weathering over time, SoPoly colors are engineered for long-lasting vibrancy.
Can I leave SoPoly furniture outside all year?
Yes. Unlike wood, our poly lumber resists moisture, insects, and mildew, making it ideal for year-round outdoor use.
Are your chairs comfortable without cushions?
Yes. Our contoured seating is designed for comfort with or without optional cushions.
Is the color solid through the material or just surface-painted?
SoPoly HDPE lumber is colored all the way through, with UV inhibitors blended into the material—not applied on the surface. This means the color won’t peel, chip, or flake like painted furniture.
Does it require painting, staining, or sealing like wood furniture?
No. SoPoly furniture never needs painting, staining, or sealing. The color is built into the HDPE lumber, so it stays vibrant without any additional treatments.
How heavy is SoPoly furniture?
The poly lumber construction makes each piece sturdy and substantial. Chairs typically weigh 45-90lbs, ensuring they won’t blow away in the wind.
Warranty and Durability
What kind of warranty does SoPoly offer?
SoPoly outdoor furniture is backed by a 20-year residential warranty and a 5-year commercial warranty. Hardware carries a 5-year residential / 1-year commercial warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship—such as cracking, peeling, splintering, rotting, or structural failure under normal use.
It does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper handling, extreme weather events, corrosive environments, heat exposure, fading from sunlight, or any labor/transport costs after delivery. Proof of purchase is required, and SoPoly may repair, replace, or substitute the product if needed.
How long will SoPoly furniture last?
With proper care, our furniture can last decades. Many customers view it as a one-time investment in outdoor living.
Is the furniture safe for commercial use?
Yes. Resorts, parks, and country clubs trust SoPoly because it’s built for high-traffic environments.
Do you offer replacement parts?
Yes. We offer replacement parts for most SoPoly products. If you need a specific component, email info@sopoly.com with your product name and color, and we’ll help you order it directly online. For warranty claims, email claims@sopoly.com with clear photos of the issue so our team can review and assist promptly.
How much weight can the chairs hold?
Most SoPoly chairs support 300–350 lbs, and some models are rated up to 500 lbs, depending on the design. Our HDPE lumber and stainless-steel hardware provide strong, stable, and long-lasting seating for a wide range of users.
Shipping and Assembly
Does the furniture come assembled?
All orders ship knocked down (KD) in a box and arrive sub-assembled for easy, minimal assembly at home, unless you select Local Pickup at checkout. Only local pickup orders are provided fully assembled.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. We ship throughout the lower 48 United States. Smaller items, such as chairs, ship via FedEx or UPS Ground, while larger items—like tables and multi-piece sets—ship LTL freight for safe and secure delivery.
How much assembly is required?
Most products arrive in sub-assembled sections, with all parts pre-drilled and packaged with stainless-steel hardware. Assembly is straightforward and typically takes 10–20 minutes using basic household tools. Each shipment includes clear, step-by-step instructions, and many items require only attaching a few components before the furniture is ready to use

Lead times vary throughout the year, especially during peak months starting in March, April, and May when demand is highest. Standard lead times are typically 2–4 weeks, but certain products may extend up to 6 weeks during busy periods. Our Quick Ship items move faster, shipping within 2–3 business days for the fastest turnaround.
